Frankfort, Kentucky: Rally for Cannabis Legislation Reform and Lobby Day
“We’re getting together as many people as possible to make their opinions known to their legislators in our capitol,” said Jeremy Jacobs, Executive Director for KY NORML. “The people of our commonwealth deserve to have comprehensive cannabis reform.”
KY NORML is scheduling meetings with legislators in the names of their constituents with the goal of discussing this coming session’s legislative agenda regarding medicinal cannabis. Meanwhile, in the Capitol Rotunda, a group of concerned citizens from across the Commonwealth will rally in the hopes of letting their elected representatives feel the pressure of public outcry for cannabis reform. In the 2013 Kentucky Health Issues Poll, 78% of individuals participating supported legalizing medical marijuana. “Kentucky’s patients and veterans deserve the right to seek relief with medical cannabis”, said Lauren Morgan Kie, Deputy-Director of KY NORML.
